1. Black to black 2 feature introduced to prevent resin black from    being put down on top of YMC black when printing colour bitmaps.

2. Driver modified to accept ULTRALOG.BMP to cater for UNIX systems.
   The files must be loaded from an ISO formatted CD, meaning 8.3      file names.

1. Colour Gamma modified to match the Windows 98 Driver. Brighter.

3. Bug fix for printing a thick bordered rectangle that is either solid
   or hatch-filled while the printer DC (device context) is set for a mapping
   mode of MM_TEXT and a background mode of TRANSPARENT.

1. 4,5,6,& 7 bit compression option added to increase download speed.

2. "CLRC" Command bug fixed: 
   When duplex printing using UR8 dye film the resin black K panel 
   was skipped and the resin K from the next set of panels was used.

3. UR1 Dye Film (YMCKO) overcoat bug fixed when duplex printing, the 
   overcoat now defaults to "ENABLED" for the backside of the card.

4. Magnetic encoding corrected when duplex printing.The encoding. 
   string would only be sent to the printer if placed on page 2, 
   the string can now be placed on either Page 1 or page 2.

5. Ultra logo and driver version number added to the properties 
   about box.

INSTALLATION
------------

Insert the Driver Disk into the Floppy Drive of your PC.
From your Windows Control Panel, double click the mouse on the Icon
"Add Printer" and follow the on screen menus to load and configure 
the NT4.0 driver.

Please Note:
If your Magicard Printer is connected at the time of installation 
answer yes to printing a test page. The printer will print a test 
card to verify that the driver has been correctly installed.

Updating your Driver from a previous version:
If you are updating the driver from an earlier version we 
recommend that before "Adding Printer" delete the old driver from the Windows Control Panel "Printers Menu" and remove 4 additional files using Explorer or File Manager as detailed below. It is also advisable to restart your PC before deleting any files as they may be active within another application.

The following files must be deleted from two separate directories:

ultra.bmp
ultra.dll
ultra.pd
ultraui.dll

These files are located within the following directories:

WINNT\System32\Spool\Drivers\W32X86.
WINNT\System32\Spool\Drivers\W32X86\2

Restarting the PC:
If you have any difficulty removing any of the above files, restart the PC and retry.
After removing both sets of files the PC must be restarted before
installing the new version of the driver.

Page Size:      Standard 948 X 596 Pixels
Film Type:      UR1 YMCKO
Duplex:         Off
Orientation:    Landscape
Back Format:    Fonts Only
Ultra Secure:   Enabled

Note 1:
Should the Incorrect setting be selected the printer will display
an "ERROR" by flashing the Online and Error LEDS together.
Care should also be taken to ensure that the Dye Film type currently
being is correctly selected in the Driver.
